Abandon part P home diy electrical ban

Abandon part P electrical ban to allow homeowners to fix and replace their own electrics

Why does this matter?

Its a well known fact that this law was created by John Presottt to create 'jobs for the boys' in the electrical trade.

I can understand some level of control but a capable homeowner should be  able to do his own diy wiring.

One of the finest examples of totally unnecessary red tape which we could all do without

Very Good idea. Very expensive stealth tax.
    Scrap Part P ASAP.

  2. Graham North says:

Totally agree; so few accidents/deaths are caused by this compared to many other areas of life.

Yes, stop rogue electricians, but there are other ways to do that.

Don’t treat all DIY’ers the same!

“Lord” Prescott was, and is, a useless waste of time.
