Collect the extra revenue via the Petrol pumps
Why is it important?
Petrol pump usage is a near perfect way of taxing road use and emissions. Its much fairer as well. Someone with a gas gussler who does 3,000 miles a year should not pay as much road tax as someone with a family diesel who does 50,000 miles a year, let alone pay 3 times more.
The money saved by eliminating this tax could be shared between the Government and people or heaven forbid ploughed into "the roads".
