Give Amnesty to refused asylum seekers/ illegal immigrants who have lived in the UK for more than ten years. Only those with knowledge/skills (NVQ Level 3 and above) and speak English should be considered for Amnesty and they should be made to work in certain areas of our society where it is difficult to recruit from within the UK and the EU. For example: the Health and Social Care industry where there is a shortage of carers.

Why does this matter?

This will sort the internal Immigration issue and at the same time, bring in lots of Revenue to the Government. Employers employing illegal immigrants and refused asylum seekers will have no choice but to pay the Income Tax and National Insurance which they are collecting to the Government. An Amnesty will also sort out the skills shortage areas as those given Amnesty would only be allowed to work in areas where there is a shortage of skills.
