ban minimum term contracts and all other non-cancellable finance agreements

Comment 3rd July 2010

its a sign of the times that persons, wanting pretty much anything will find themselves having to pay in installments.

Which you can't do any more as you need to sign up to a finance agreement. Which ties you in for minimum term and you cant get out of.

Finance agreements should be banned outright, let the low professions show they have true faith in their products and allow us to buy them without draconian finance agreements that do nothing but make the low professions stronger.

Why does this matter?

It allows freedom of choice for the consumer, if they have a mobile phone contract and they find a better one their current provider is willing to provide then the customer will be able to move on without threat of reprisal.

This will increase competition between companies and drive down prices, which can only be good things
