Ban vested interests from parliament

Comment 10th August 2010

The government should shut its doors to professional lobbying companies and very rich individuals so that dispoportionate pressure or inducements no longer threaten to interfere with democratic policy and law making.

Why does this matter?

Democracy has to be seen to be completely open to all, not just to professionals with vast resources to pursuade.
