Coercion of religious bodies

Comment 9th July 2010

For 13 years we had a government hell-bent on destroying Christian faith and practice.  Statements from Cameron, Clegg et al. don't hold out much hope for the future!  Yet they talk of "freedom", "doing away with the abuse of power", etc.  Can we have a repeal of all laws that seek to coerce churches, other religious bodies, schools into acting in ways contrary to their tenets?

Why does this matter?

It would restore genuine liberalism and tolerance in our society and halt the attempt to turn Britain into something it has never been.
