Compulsory Education legislation

Comment 15th March 2013

Schools should feature compulsory education in the subject of basic anthropology, these lessons should conform not to religious or personal veiw but to scientific research, the option for a parent to 'opt out' thier child from these lessons for religious reasons are a must.

The subject should cover as basics:

Ethnics (origin of man/branches of humanity)

Sexual physical and mental health (safe sex, risks inc STDs)

Human diversity (LesbianGayBiTrans (blending with sex ed), certain neurological disorders)

Why does this matter?

A majourity of hate crimes exsist because lack of education in such area's allows the malcontent to latch on to racist or phobic idea's, idea's that are in total contradiction to studies, appropriate education from a young age(Ethnics and parts of Human Diversty)  into teens (Sex ed and other part of human diversity) using the latest studies to educate children in 'the real story' will slash hate crimes.

e.g knowledge that "These three studies (of brain scans) had found that certain areas in male-to-female transsexuals more commonly resembled the equivalent area in females than males." or

"(from brain scans) it was found that lesbians and heterosexual men shared a particular "asymmetry" in their hemisphere size, while heterosexual women and gay men had no difference between the size of the different halves of their brain. In other words, structurally, at least, the brains of gay men were more like heterosexual women, and gay women more like heterosexual men." BBC news

Knowing such from a young age will negate much negative (often harmful) social interaction.
