Criminal rights

Comment 16th July 2010

Any law that supports the rights of a criminal is wrong. The moment someone enters your home with criminal intent, they should have no claim against the resident of that home defending their right to stop the intruder.

In the case of those convicted of a crime, when they enter prison, their righs should be forfeit.

You get prison uniform, no perks unless earnt, no special food, no religious exceptions etc. it is a punishment. Be hard and fair, but its not a cushy billet.

Why does this matter?

Too often the perpetrators of crime are seen to have an easy life in jail, keep their ill gotten gains, and have no respect for anyone. The victim of crime is left with nothing, not even the right to forcefully detain the culprit until the police arrive. To the victim go the rights.
