Do not count time in prison towards pension

Comment 18th July 2010

Under the current rules someone in HMP counts the years inside as credits towards a pension. Many women who worked part time do not get these credits. Time in prison should not count. Part of the punishment should be years passsed on sentencing (not served) are added to default retirment age. Tens years for assult = you retire at 75.

Why does this matter?

It is not justice if people who do no wrong are worse off than those who have broken the law.
