Doctors GP Contracts

Comment 6th July 2010

There are two areas open to abuse. no quality control.

There is no legally binding reasults  and outcomes auditing.

The ten non legally binding "targets" must be abolished.

The provision for mandatory same day home visits to the over seventies must be retained.

Why does this matter?

The Gps contract which doubled the pay for one third less pay needs revision.

A visit to a GP with an educated knowledge of a patients condition can be met with a stone wall when discussing treatment.

Never acknowledged is the practice requirement to achieve a level of prescribing to the NICE Guidelines, for  payment by the commissiong agency.

The Patient Satisfaction forms to return the information to the commissioning agents are given out top patients after a consultation with the GP only to patients who will complete a positive answer to the questionaire.
