Don’t give tenants right at the expense of landlords

Comment 20th July 2010

stop making it necessary for a landlord to pay for a solcitor and court costs to remove a tenant whose Tenancy Agreement has come to an end but refuses to move out.  By staying in our flat/house without a tenancy agreement and not paying rent they are effectively stealing and should be dealt with by the police coming and forcibly removing the tenant from the premises if necessary.  If a tenant does not pay their rent their forcible eviction should be automatic

Why does this matter?

Landlord'd have a business to run just like any other business and why should they accept people stealing from them. A man who runs a shop and has something stolen can call the police to deal with the problem why do landlords not have the same protection
