end the victimisation of prostitutes

Comment 12th July 2010

the laws surounding protitution are acient and do nothing to help society.

we need a proper debate about prostitution as it is not something that has gone away with the current legislation.

Illegal drug use is a common factor of street prostition and therfore sex workers who are addicts need help not crimilised and being given fines that they have to go out to work on the street to pay.

In Ipswich recently after the seriel killings swift and appropriate action wa taken to help sex workers off the street and get help. If this happened every where society would benefit greatly and cost the tax payer much less.

Why does this matter?

Like illegal drugs prostitutes are used by all sorts of people all of the time.

Decrimminlise those who use the services of sex workers and take the power of the sex trade from the crimminals.
