Everyone is entitled to a fair trial

Comment 26th July 2010

The government  must not deny people  a fair hearing in a court of law.  Everyone is supposedly innocent until proved guilty.  This must apply without exception to everyone.

Why does this matter?

This is an important principle – justice should be even-handed and applied universally otherwise who will decide who is innocent and who is guilty?  The Government cannot and should not decide this.
