Foreign Medals

Comment 6th July 2010

Restrictions on civilians wearing foreign medals that have been accepted.

As long as the foreign medal has been accepted by Her Majesty the Queen; no one should have the authority to ban a civilian from wearing that medal.

The Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal was accepted by the Queen but we are banned from wearing it.

Please change this ruling and give us veterans our honour back.

Why does this matter?

Because 35000 British Veterans have been denied the right to wear the Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal awarded to them by a grateful Islamic Nation.

Her Majesty the Queen granted permission for the rest of the Commonwealth to wear the PJM while denying British Veterans on the advice of unelected Senior Civil Servants.
