Free Pensions for Directors

Comment 8th July 2010

Remove the National Insurance Legislation that allows Directors of companies to set their salary between the two lower National Insurance Limits and pay no National Insurance yet still claim a state pension.

Why does this matter?

This would insure that the contributory principle of the National Insurance contibution system was not by passed by people who can set there own wage, and remove the burden of paying state pensions to people who had willfully avoided contributing to the National Insurance pot. We simply cannot afford to pay pensions to people who are unwilling to participate in contributing to the countries coffers yet still expect a pension.

In the interest of a fairness for all this regulation should be removed or changed to stop this happening.
