Having the right to protest without permission

Comment 13th July 2010

Removing the law that requires an indivdual to seek permission form the police to protest anywhere inside westminster or other desganted areas.

Why does this matter?

Living in a democracy gives an individual the right to freely express themselves. There are many laws now that actually repress a persons democratic right to express thier idividual thoughts. Having the right to protest is one of those rights given to us by the human rights act and by living in a democratic socitey and having to seek permission to actually protest not only flys in the face of democracy but actually infringes human rights law.
