Human Rights Act, European Communities Act, digital radio plans

Comment 9th July 2010

The first two acts infringe unacceptably on Britain's sovereignty and individual liberties.  I would wish to leave the European Union – we don't need it for trade, it costs far too much, its accounting is dubious and it cannot have Britain's interests at heart.

The digital radio plan is ill thought-through and rides roughshod over  people.  I have numerous (quality and costly) radios in the home, and one in the car, and I have no intention of changing these at government behest.  The quality of digital reception, from all I can read and learn, is also questionable.  I thought these high-handed and expensive diktats were something the present government had set itself against.

Why does this matter?
