Cut the money that is allowed to be charged by the legal profession in family cases. It is in the interest of the lawyers that these cases be as long drawn out and vitriolic as they can possibly make them. If the case goes on long enough, the more broke the family will be, both mentally and financially. It would also prevent the person with the most money (sometimes the non-maintenance paying father) from having the better legal representation and therefore the better chance of having their will imposed.
This would also work to benefit the maintenance paying fathers!
The family courts system is flawed enough without it being a business that profits from people's misery
