Petty Convictions need to be erased off after 10 years by POLICE!!

Comment 25th July 2010

This idea works and has always been around, yes people with cautions, petty records who comitted an offence lets say 50 to 10 years, were being deleted by the police forces.  I dont mean delete any old crime, but petty crime against individuals who werent shall i say real criminals, i.e career criminals.

Why does this matter?

Its a key, and its how things should have been and always should have stayed, and all this Sunita Mason storey and proposals is just becasue the Police forces had lost a court case originally and than the appealed against the verdict.

This idea is simple, and all other crimes should stay I say for 100 years, I mean a serious crimes, career criminals, they should have there records on the PCN and regulalrly shared.

But

petty crimes and people who have gone through REHAB shoul dhave them deleted, as I know so many people who have turned there lives after a tiny side track, i.e car crime, petty fraud like mobile phone claims, maybe shoplifting a bottle of coke etc…. and they have for 10 years or so have become very different people.

But…..these people do get haunted from their past as they sometimes depending on what job they do get checked, and its embarassing and mentally disturbing.

THE POLICE NEED AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, AND ANY POLICE FORCE NOT ADHERING TO THIS, NEED TO BE TAKEN TO COURT LIKE WHAT HAPPENED RECENTLY, AS THE LOSERS ARE THE POLICE WHO HAVE SUFFERED AND SUNITA MASON WILL IMPLEMENT A NEW PROCESS, BUT I CAN SEE MORE COURT CASES COMING ON DATA PROTECTION AND HOLDING DATA WHICH ISNT REALLY FIGHTING ANY CRIME!

The police say we are fighting crime!, what crime are they fighting, there are more officers around 50 plus whi have serious convictions against them this was in the metro news.  1 in 6 have convictions, and i dont mean petty conviction but serious assault case, etc….. we all know how the Police are working, and sorry it isnt good.

The police need to automatically erase the record for petty convictions.

I feel this new givernment can do it and will do it, as these 2 guys C&N Cameron and Nick mean business, and i can see this law changing and giving the non career criminals a clean clean slate now.
