Pinjat Jasa Malaysia

Comment 3rd August 2010

Restrictions on civilians wearing foreign medals that have been accepted.
As long as the foreign medal has been accepted by Her Majesty the Queen no one should have the authority to ban a civilian from wearing that medal.
The Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal was accepted by the Queen but we are banned from wearing it.

Why does this matter?

35,000  British and Commonwealth Service personnel, served in in Malaysia, and Borneo, 519 Never came back, a grateful Malaysian Nation and their King awarded this medal for Bravery, Loyalty and Commitment, Governments of Australia and New Zeqland amongst others, accepted this award without Restrictions, the UK Government lead by a Quango have repeatedly told us we can accept it but not wear it…Somthing smells here.
