Public Sector Pensions

Comment 6th July 2010

With public sector pay and pensions coming under attack why don't the MPs lead by example.

Why don't they start to contribute to their pension fund? Your emergency services pay 11.5% of their income into their pension so why not MPs?

Also, don't you think that 2 terms as an MP is a measley amount of time to draw a full pension? Why not 40 years like your emergency services?

Why does this matter?

This Government want to cut public expenditure, start at the top.
