Race, Religion and Gender Legislation

I move to erase from the Statutory Book the Race Relations Act of 1976 and all other legislation regarding 'positive discrimination' and legislation that penalises people for expressing their personal views whatever controversial these views might be. Forms requiring people to specify their race, religion and gender should also be made illegal. People should only be considered in terms of their talents and virtues.

Why is it important?

People should not be penalised for expressing their views and their personal feelings in public. In fact, repressive laws increase tension and produce a false sense of security because all they do it to run those views and feelings underground. The so called 'racial offenses' are a shambles. As an employer, the present laws regarding race and religion deter me from employing people of other races and religions simply because I am afraid that the said laws will be used as an excuse to justify incompetence or moral deficiencies.
