The idea
End the law which states that small businesses cannot take their recycling to the public amenity tip. The recycling companies need more plastic to recycle to make a profit, so why not let small businesses take their plastic bottles to the tip, without needing a waste carriers licence.
Why is it important?
Small businesses are struggling and councils are required to increase recycling rates. Businesses produce more waste than households so this must be addressed. Recycling companies will not collect small loads as its not cost effective and costs are prohibitive for small companies, so why not let them use the amenity tip.
