Reduce Council’s costs – Use English only

Comment 6th July 2010

Stop spending money on translations, translators and their administrators; people should be able to understand English. Those that can't should be required to provide, at their cost, family members or friends to explain any documents etc. Those who have managed to get into this country without understanding English and  without family or friends should not be here claiming support.

Why does this matter?

Councils and organisations such as the police are having terrible difficulties in managing their budgets these days and some of the "luxuries" provided under the previous Governments time in office when the economy was booming are not affordable now. This is just one area where savings can be made. It might also encourage more immigrants to learn English and help to integrate communities.
