Reduce immigration

Comment 20th August 2010

The idea is to reduce immigration and, therefore its effect on the population and make up of the UK. It seems that Britain's population grew by some 395,000 during 2009 and is now expanding at three times the rate of the 1980s.

Why does this matter?

These islands are becomming more and more crowded – we are on course to become the most crowded country in Europe quite soon. The main reason for the population rise is the growing birthrate and, according to the Office for National Statistics, is being pushed up mainly by migrant mothers.

It is important that we get this situation under control and stop immigration thus reducing the drain on some local services and further dilution of the traditional british way of life.
