Reform the state snooping law RIPA (2000)

The idea

RIPA grants wide-ranging snooping powers to the state on a very thin and largely undebated veneer of suspicion of terrorism, child abuse and e-crime.  This law should be completely overhauled or binned, to remove the possibility of continuing abuse.

Why is it important?

"Terror" laws like RIPA that end up being used to snoop on families and establish eligibility to school catchment areas cannot be a good thing in any country.
