REGULATION OF INVESTIGATORY POWERS ACT 2000

Comment 7th July 2010

The provisions for authorized government and local authority snooping, especially in relation to the retention of email records contravenes article 8(1) of the European Convention of Human Rights.

There is no pressing social need for this legislation and the whole Act should be repealed as an example of Tony Blair and New Labour’s Police Communist state.

Why does this matter?

This will reroll the freedoms from state interference that were in existence prior to the enactment of this draconian legislation
