Religious bodies should not hold personal data against our will

Comment 1st July 2010

Religious organisations such as CoE should be required by law to destroy all the data they have about individuals if they request it. This includes baptism records.

Why does this matter?

There's no reason why religious bodies should be exempt, really. Religion is a very sensitive information (remember WW2). It is even more important that they delete records of baptisms since baptism typically takes place in Infancy when individuals are not able to consent nor object.
