I urge the repeal of the "religious hatred" provisions of recent legislation such as the Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Act of 2001.
Why does this idea matter?
These provisions tend to privilege Muslims against any criticism of their faith and so suppress the long tradition of free religious debate in this country.
I refer you to Jon Gower Davies's recent book A New Inquisition, which puts the case eloquently. It is published by Civitas: email address email@example.com
