Remove the “Victims Surcharge” handed out in courts for victimless crimes

The idea

Since April 1st 2007, a £15 surcharge has been added to every fine handed out in court for a criminal offence. This is nothing more than a stealth tax and should be abolished for all crimes with no direct victim.

Why is it important?

It undermines the current process in this country, which should be in place to serve justice, and not raise money for the exchequer.
