REPEAL CRIMINALISATION of MEN PAYING for SEXUAL SERVICES

Comment 14th July 2010

Labour brought this law in two years ago, to reduce the vile trade of human trafficking to the UK.

I seek repeal, as:

1.   Senior police chiefs think it's unworkable – how to get evidence ?

2.   Sex Dicrimination – it criminalises men, yet not women who pay for sexual services.

3.   DisAbility Discrimination.

People with disabilities, eg Disfigurement, may need to use sex workers to obtain a fulfilling personal life.

4.   Innocent until proven Guilty

Unusually in UK law, the burden of proff is on men to prove that the sex-worker WASN'T trafficked. How?

Why does this matter?

This law doesn't solve trafficking.

Yet it causes discrimination on gender grounds and may hurt people with disabilities.

It may well waste police time &public money.
