Repeal the 24-Hour Drinking Act

Comment 7th July 2010

Repeal the 24-Hour Licencing Act, introduced by the Labour Government, and restore licencing to the sensible, responsible controls that were a benefit to society and had previously served this country for years.

Why does this matter?

This act, introduced by the Labour Government, did not produce a 'cafe society' it has exacerbated binge drinking, drunkeness, vandalism and drunken violence.

Police Forces across the country are unamimous that this act has produced an anti-social environment in town centres, making some areas no-go zones and has an unprecendented loading on Police, Ambulance services and the NHS

The net effect of the act has been to detrimental to society and a burden on the tax payer.

Repel the act, restore licencing to the sensible, responsible controls that have served this country for years, reduce the tax burden on services trying to deal with it and in turn help reduce this country's deficit.
