Repeal the Railways (Electrical Power) Act 1903

Comment 1st July 2010

Repeal the "Railways (Electrical Power) Act 1903 and replace with a presumption that the installations of Overhead or Third rail (or future method) be allowed.

Why does this matter?

The act is no longer necessary and could be used to prevent or slow down the adoption of electrification of the railway over the coming years.
