RIPA Act and powers of local authority officers

Comment 3rd July 2010

I was subjected with a friend to covert survielance authorised by local authority officers who also wanted to put a camera on my neighbours chimney to watch me. They have done checks on vehicle registration plates of friends who have visited etc. The dispute between us is about planning this is excessive powers to Local Authorities it is not being properly supervised nor property used.

Why does this matter?

We are all entitled to the enjoyment of our private life. Much as we may wish to beleive otherwise the Local Authority Officers are not independant and not impartial and many have their own agenda.

It is quite simply unacceptable that they have the pwers to snoop on people using public money.
