Roads with a National Speed Limit, need to be reassessed.

Comment 7th July 2010

It seems illogical that minor roads still have the old fashioned, National Speed Limit; while adjacent "A" Class roads may have a variable speed limit of only 40/50 mph.

I propose, that these minor roads, with a National Speed Limit are reassessed, to find out if 60mph is actually a safe and realistic speed.

Why does this matter?

The problem is that Jo Public will attempt to drive at 60mph, regardless of whether the road conditions justify that speed! This could be one of the reasons why rural roads a so dangerous.
