Scrap Employer’s Liability insurance for SMEs

Comment 29th July 2010

Remove the requirement for family-based limited companies to buy EL insurance, and also the ability to claim against the company in case of self-imposed injury

Why does this matter?

Even though I am a one-man business (in effect my own employer) I have to, by statute, buy Employer's Liability insurance in the event that I should sue myself iif my own polices lead to me causing myself an injury.  This benefits no-one except the insurance company, as it's pure profit
