Scrap the digital radio nonsense

To repeal the law forcing radio broadcasts to be switched from FM frequencies to dogital transmission by 2015.

Why does this idea matter?

The proposed switch will condemn millions of perfectly usable radios to the bin. Admittedly, the idea is to ship them to third-world countries but it ignores the cost to the UK population of buying new radios, which in the main will be imported from the far east and not manufactured here. Millions of car radios will become obsolete overnight too.

The country cannot afford it.

In addition, like many other people, I find digital reception to be infuriatingly  erratic and often of very poor quality. (I do have one digital radio – to listen to Radio 5 – but have long thought that R5 should be broadcast in FM).
