Section 33 Employment Tribunal Act 1996

Comment 18th July 2010

Section 33 Employment Tribunal Act 1996 should  be repealed because discrimination by employers against members of minority groups is endemic in the UK.

Why does this matter?

Section 33 Employment Tribunal Act 1996 should  be repealed because discrimination by employers against members of minority groups is endemic in the UK. Such employers refuse to answer Statutory Questionnaires. As a consequence of S33 being enacted this  enables employers to refuse to reply .  Therefore the rejected job applicant/emplioyee cannot obtain any evidence to establish whether there has been an act of unlawful discrimination.  As a consequence the victim of unlawful discrimination cannot obtain any evidence to prove his or her case and the basic human right not to suffer discrimination in employment opportunities was removed by Parliament.

Therefore S33 should be abolished.
