Smoking ban law: amendment

Comment 15th March 2013

Amend the current Health Bill to:

1) permit smoking in "public indoor spaces well ventilated and extracted, clearly divided and defined", also in the case of pubs or other locations where food or drink is served, a businesses compliance to ventilation is to be monitored/enforced by Environmental health officials.

2) require homeowner/resident to inform companies scheduled to perform lawful work within the property (maintaince for example) that the property is smoked in.

Why does this matter?

This amendment would:

1) safely permit businesses desiring to allow customers to smoke on the premises and eliminate risks of passive smoking should the business desire to do so (extractor fan above the doorway to the area).

2) enable companies/councils to send workers who do not find smoke objectionable, while permitting the resident to exercise thier freedom in the home.
