Stop printing signs in Welsh and English in Wales

4 Comments 26th August 2010

See above – stop printing signs and any/all official paperwork/forms etc. in the welsh language.

Why does this matter?

This is important because we are wasting many thousands of pounds, if not millions, every year by producing unnecessary bilingual signs. Everybody in Wales speaks English. This duplication panders to a very small, but vocal, minority.

One wonders why all signs/forms/paperwork in Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall and so on are not also produced in English and the local language. If this is silly, then so is producing in welsh and english.

How about you use some of those billions of pounds your government has taken off Wales and use it to print more copies in Welsh AND English? more positive thinking from brains…

Eh signs in Scotland, Ireland and even Cornwall are produced in the local languages.
