Stop taxpayer funding of the HS2 proposal

Comment 26th July 2010

HS2, the unwarranted high speed rail link between London and Birmingham, is having the proposal costs funded by the taxpayer. If this is such an important and commercially viable scheme the proposals should be funded by those interested parties that will look to benefit fro it in the future.

Why does this matter?

The taxpayer should not be asked to take on the role of "speculator" in these difficult times.
