Stop TV licence threats

Comment 6th July 2010

I have no TV and therefore do not need a licence. If I got a TV I would buy a licence. I have told the TV licensing authority that I have no TV many times. They continue to send aggressive and threatening letters to frighten me into buying a licence.

This is an abuse of power, intrusive, and expensive. My letters back are ignored. It gives me the feeling of bullying and domineering state control that ignores the individual. I can imagine that many people who do not have TVs are frightened by this practice and it should be changed.

Why does this matter?

Freedom from state bullying and intrusion.

Recognition of individuality.

Waste of resources.
