The European Communities Act 1972

Comment 9th July 2010

The European Communities Act 1972 should be repealed as membership of the European Union lacks democratic legitimacy.  The residentsof Britain were denied the promised referendum on the EU Constitution/Lisbon Treaty.  The EU lacks public support.

Why does this matter?

The cost of our membership is estimated to rise to £10m by 2014.  This is a cost tax payers of Britain can not afford in the present economic climate.  The EU makes us poorer, takes away our freedom and makes us less democratic.  We would be better off out.
