That children should have the right not to wear school uniform.
Why does this idea matter?
Today in the news I hear of a school near Brighton that sent some childeren home because, shock horror, they were wearing short-sleved shirts instead of long-sleeved shirts and the 'wrong ' kind of shoes.
Children have the right not to be subjected to this abusrd and petty regimentation of their lives, and their parents have the right to be freed from the straightjacket of having to buy school uniform at inflated prices from 'prefferred' suppliers. Schools are for learning, not for enforcing the state regimentation and confrormity upon children. Perhaps attention should be focused upon those self-important administrators who apear to be obsessed with the minutiea of what pubescent children wear, it sounds like an supect and unhealthy attitude to me!
