tougher sentences for those who kill on the roads

Comment 6th July 2010

those who kill on the roads through recklessness or negligence should be give a mandatory prison sentence without reprieve for  no previous convictions/ show of remorse/ character

Why does this matter?

There is no value put on peoples lives when they have been killed through someone elses recklessness or negligence. If someone has been killed there should be no place in the sentencing guidelines for leniency related to previous or present personal history. Killing someone deserves the punishment of imprisonment. If someone commits fraud or indeed in some cases theft they go to prison. How does this reflect the value of human life?
