Traffic law

Comment 16th July 2010

We have good laws over driving, but fail to enforce them, hence they have become a joke.

Enforce them. By all accounts even enforcing the speed laws should decrease the cost to transport and the NHS from accidents.

This could be self funded. Use unmarked cars with "bounty hunters" whose sole job is traffic enforcement, pay for it via the fines with excess directly payable into transport, and impliment the laws we have.

Why does this matter?

WE have become a nation of law benders. There is an old saying, teach people to respect the small rules and they will respect all the rules.

There is no point to laws which are not enforced.
