Trees in Conservation Areas

Remove the need to notify for works to trees in conservation areas.

Why does this idea matter?

If trees make an important contribution to an area, a Tree Preservation Order can be placed on them.  There is no need to duplicate this with a notification for every time works to a non TPO tree are intended – it requires all local authorities to keep tree specialists who nearly always nod the work through.  Parish/Town Councils are also notified every time.  It is well intentioned but unnecessary bureaucracy and duplication.  The number of conservation areas has multiplied dramatically since 1967 and there are now just too many trees to police in this way.
