Two chief executives for one sub regional public sector quango!

Comment 10th August 2010

During the time of the Labour Government, I know of at least one senior manager in the public sector,, who due to reorganisation, had no role and was 'finished' but because he was close to retirement was taken on as a consultant on the same salary (over £100,000) so we had two chief executives for one sub regional public sector office. Of course, they had different titles to fit with public sector 'rules' but same duties!!

I am sure this is not an isolated case.  You might want to check and see if there are anymore!

Why does this matter?

Firstly it could be used as yet another example of Labour's mismanagement of our country and our economy

Secondly, I have a feeling this is not an isolated case.  You may want to check this out for other public sector qangos.  We could save thousands without affecting any services which the public are nervous about. I would hate for the public to do what they did to Maggie
