Withdraw from European Human Rights Convention

Comment 10th July 2010

We have seen too many cases taken to the European Court of Human Rights where the decision of the UK courts have been overruled and as we have a fair and reasonable justice system in this country I see no need to allow this court to have any jurisdiction in the uk.

Why does this matter?

The judges are much too distant from the UK they have no interest in the rights of ordinary people whose rights are frequently trampled upon by the appelates. It creates a feelling of unfairness and that you can keep going in court often using legal aid untill you get a decision that suits you rather than simply justice.

We have sufficient problems with our own justices who seem incapable of deporting people who carry out crimes in the UK because they have managed to establish some form of residency here.
