Women’s Suffrage

1 Comment 5th July 2010

Go back to two-member constituencies.  Each constituency would return two members: one man and one woman. Every elector would have two votes, one for each sex.  Obviously there would be half as many constituencies.

Why does this matter?

Both sexes would be properly represented.  The parties would have to find women candidates and there would be no more excuses for a male dominated legislature

One Response to Women’s Suffrage

  1. G.Squire. says:

The person to be elected to parliament or a council or whatever should be the person who the voters feel is the best person for the job whether that person be male, female, old, young, black, white, gay, lesbian or whatever. If people feel that there should be more female or black MPs, then they can vote for them
